On Friday, December 26 we were in Punta Del Este, Uruguay. When we visited earlier this year we did a biking trip so saw a more narrow view of the beach area. This time we took a scenic bus ride which took us further afield. After driving by the Light House and beach with the famous Hands that stick out of the sand, we drove the neighbourhoods and into the countryside. We made a couple of stops, mainly for photos of the views, before going to an Auto Museum which had several interesting antique cars.
It’s a very nice place that is very first world. There are many modern mid-rise condos along the sea and, as we thought last time, it’s a reasonable place to live, perhaps as a second home, if you are looking for a clean, safe sea-side home.
That night the ship had set up full table and chairs on the deck and served barbecue and hosted a very fun deck party. The crew works so hard.
