On Thursday, December 18 we arrived in Buzios at 8:00 am and took the tender to shore at 8:30 am.  We visited Buzios earlier in the year.  It was a quiet fishing village until Brigitte Bardot came here and the world followed.  It now has many hotels and restaurants and tourism is its key industry.  It’s a quaint, relatively neat little place.  It reminded us a little of Samui.  Not quite pristine but much beauty. We took a bus that took us around the peninsula with views of numerous beaches (apparently they have 17) and endless seas.  While it is reportedly sunny 300 days a year, we had one of the few cloudy, and later rainy days, but it made being a tourist very comfortable. As we agreed last time, this would be a nice place to vacation if you are in South America.

That said, after another sea day, we visited 4 more Brazilian ports. Three of these were resort locations, each seeming a bit more sophisticated than the last.
